Seagrass ecosystems are at a critical juncture. Although seagrass meadows provide extensive ecosystem services, without intervention, they remain on a trajectory of global decline throughout the next century. If we don’t act, they will be lost. At Project Seagrass, we've identified six global challenges to putting seagrass on a pathway to net gain. Global seagrass recovery is possible, we just need the tools a mechanisms to achieve it.

If we are to place seagrass meadows on a pathway to net gain, we need opportunities to do so. The will and passion to do this are equally distributed across the globe, but the opportunities, in finance terms are not.
The Seagrass Global Challenge Fund will provide opportunities to harness the will and passion for seagrass conservation, and provided targeted funding where it is needed most.
